Meeting Points

The meeting points for our Walks Calendar are as follows:

Sunday and Thursday walks.

We usually meet in Congleton at West Street car park, a few minutes before the starting time. The nearest postcode is CW12 1JR. There is also an entrance from Wesley Court off Lion Street but we meet nearer the West Street entrance. The main entry to the car park is around the one way system of Antrobus Street, Swan Bank and West Street.  Car Sharing is encouraged, although walks leaders may choose to meet at the starting point of the walk, not at West St. Please contact the walks leader to book your place on the walk.

Wednesday walks

We meet at the West Heath shopping centre. This car park can be entered from both Holmes Chapel Road (A54) and Sandbach Road (A534). However we meet near to the Sandbach Road entrance.  The postcode is CW12 4NB.

Tuesday Walks

These are evening pub walks and we usually meet at the pub.

Saturday Walks

Occasionally we do a Saturday walk involving a train ride and usually meet at Congleton railway station Park Lane CW12 3DE.

Your First Walk With Us

If it is the first walk for you and it is not a coach trip, you can simply meet at the places mentioned above a short time before the starting time. However, it is advisable to give the leader a ring beforehand, so they can look out for you.

Car Sharing

We try to car share to keep the petrol costs down (with each person making a contribution for petrol). If you prefer to go directly to the start of a particular walk, please contact the walk leader for details of the exact starting location.

Walk Leader Contact Details

The contact details of any walk leader can be found on our Walks Calendar page. On that page just click the walk title to display further information.

No Car?

If you live in Congleton that should not be too much of a problem (as others should be willing to drive).

Even if you do not live in Congleton it might be possible to get a lift in with someone else - We have members from various areas within Cheshire and North Staffordshire so you might find you can team up and share lifts.

You are more than welcome to come on a few walks before deciding to become a member.

Having sampled a few walks you will then be expected to join the club. See Join the Club/Contact Us
